Food Pickup
Food orders may be picked up on Tuesdays between 9:00am and 11:30am.
Storm Policy
If schools are closed due to bad weather, pickup will be moved to the next morning that schools are open
Order Pickup Process
Clients may receive an order from the KV Food Basket once per month. When arriving at the Food Basket, please come to the window to receive a numbered pager and then return to your vehicle. Once your pager begins to vibrate, please come to the side door to register and place your order.
Registration Requirements
Any first-time clients will need to bring:
-
proof of address (this could be a Government ID, lease, recent bill, etc.)
-
Medicare card for each member of their household. If you don’t have Medicare cards please bring proof of address for everyone.
We won’t turn away first time clients, but we will ask that you have the required documentation with you for your next visit.
Protecting Your Personal Information
When registering with us, clients are required to share some personal information. Our volunteers are required to sign confidentiality agreements and may not disclose any client information without the direct consent of the client. We will communicate general demographic information to Food Banks Canada in order to receive financial assistance and improve the quality of goods and services that our clients receive.
Food Safety
We take food safety seriously, and are often asked about best before and expiry dates. It is important to understand the various dates on your food products to make informed decisions about what you consume. Understanding Date Labels on Your Food provided by the Government of Canada can help.
